In honor of Women’s Month, we want to take a moment to feature some of the amazing groups and organizations in Central Oregon that are for women, run by women.
The community of women is strong and Central Oregon is no stranger to creating space for women to come together to create, explore and make change. If you’re looking to surround yourself with some powerful ladies, here are a few places to check out.
Outdoor Women’s Alliance
The Outdoor Women’s Alliance strengthens outdoor communities by providing a place for women to connect with other outdoor women. The team leaders organize events, activities and volunteer opportunities for members. Adventures can also be planned by members themselves!
Their programs range from internships, organizational leadership roles, professional mentorship, and resumé-building experiences. A great way to get involved if you’re passionate about the outdoors and looking to connect with women who share that enthusiasm.
Check out their website for more information on becoming a member and getting involved.
